Romance

The honeymoon in Venice – it is a dream of thousands of young couples all over the world.
The unique spleen of the city attracts more and more people, some came here fulfilling their dreams -’just married’, some -’just about to be married’ still have the time,
and some deliberately choose Venice as a perfect place to get married, for example in the small, lovely church Santa Maria dei Miracoli in Cannaregio district.
Visiting Venice everybody goes to see San Marco Basilica, watch the shops around bridge Rialto take a gondola ride,
visit Guggenheim collection and admire the view of Canale Grande.
And what to do else, apart from all the cliche ?
While on Piazza San Marco you can climb the Campanile tower with enchanted view of the Lagoon waters and red roofs of the buildings around.
The visit the jewelry shops around the Piazza tests the strength of the feelings, then for calming the inseparable stress the best is a coffe at Caffe Florian, once frequented by the poets and artists, among them Byron, Dickens and Proust.
If it is a time for the breakfast, you can choose another famous restaurant Quadri on the opposite side of the square, then think about walking.

You can start from Riva degli Schiavoni with the romantic stop on the Ponte della Paglia with the infamous bridge of Whispers visible in the distance.
The narrow and quiet streets with small squares and unexpected passages are deeper in sestiere Castello, especially in the part adjaced to Cannaregio district, at the beginning of Cannaregio there is already mentioned Santa Maria dei Miracoli church, going further one can reach Fondamente Nuove with the view of Murano and San Michele, the sad cemetery-island. Both isles are accessible by boats, but if you are about to be married avoid visiting the cemetery with the lover, it may bring the bad luck.

Another part of city full of picturesque corners is Dorsoduro with glimpse of venetian everyday’s life rolling on Campo Santa Margherita, and idyllic square Campo Barnaba.
Here you can find the shelter in one of numerous cafes on the shore Zattere.

The best time for a gondola ride is the sunset, or the night, with sillouetos of the lights on the waters of Canale Grande, also during the night the views along the sea shore are spectacular.
Venice is the city of music, and there is no problem to find the suitable evening concert, there is also the opera La Fenice and old theaters Malibran and Goldoni unfortunately the plays are usually in Italian. The dinner with the candles at the restaurant of Hotel Danieli, not the cheapest one, but one of the famous in Europe, on the guest list are Balzac, Wagner and many more ‘rich and famous’.Another choice is Alla Colomba the restaurant that looks like a modern art gallery, as the artists followed the bad habit there, they paid for meals not with cash but.. the paintings.

The cocktail Bellini at Harry’s Bar ends the evening ( and starts the night…)
