One of the world’s most celebrated restaurants- Harry’s Bar it is not the place that one would go just for a cup of coffee, but the site with the unique atmosphere of the club, where

people know each other, and hold the conversations in the relaxed, somehow predictable way.
Soon after opening the bar has been discovered by Ernest Hemingway, who used to rest here after the huntings.
The bar hosted also another great writer Orson Welles, and after the WWII became frequented by Hollywood stars, like Henry Fonda, Woody Allen or recently Nicole Kidman.
The nobility to the bar bring other famous guests, enough to mention names like, Truman, Onassis or Guggenheim.

The company story starts in 1929, when bartender in Hotel Europa in Venice Giuseppe Cipriani lend the money to rich, but suddenly broken Bostonian Harry Pi.
Two years later, Pickering returned to the hotel bar returned the loan, and gave surprised Cipriani some extra money, enough to open a bar.
And in 1931 Cipriani opened the doors to the bar named Harry’s Bar after the sponsor, along the canal off Piazza San Marco in a small, stone building, which remains unchanged till the present times.
In Harry’s Bar has been invented a famous dish – a plate of trimmed sirloin thin sliced and dressed with a drop of lemon and mayonnaise , named after an Italian painter, Vittore Carpaccio.
The bar keeps also the secret of Bellini drink, a mixture of white peach juice and sparkling prosecco, an italian wine similar to champagne.
