This year edition of Venice Film Festival runs under the banner of Venice Biennale along with other great events such as International Art Exhibition, Music and the Theatre Festival.
The opening ceremony is scheduled on September 2, and the Festiwal is going to last till 12th of September.
Today in the eve of Festival is scheduled the special screening of Mario Monicelli’s The Great War (1959).
As usually there are four different locations on Lido Island:
Palazzo del Cinema (Sala Grande 1 100 seats and Sala Volpi 160 seats)
Palazzo del Casinò (Sala Perla 400 seats)
Sala Darsena (1 300 seats)
PalaBiennale (1 700 seats)
The movies will compete in Lions, Volpi, Osella categories, and for the first time in Persol 3-D Award for the Best 3-D Stereoscopic Film of the Year.
