The museums is on of the greatest art collection in the world. During the tour you will see the amazing frescos in Sistine Chapel and Raphael’s Rooms. The exhibitions are split accordingly to time and style. The biggest part is taken by Greek and Roman art collections, Etruscan sarcophaguses and artifacts from Egypt. The Pinacoteca features vast collection of European art, including works of Leonardo, Raphael, Bellini or Giotto. The tour includes entrance to the St.Peter’s Basilica, after visiting which you finish on St.Peter’s Square.
After skipping the line, you can explore the Vatican Museums at your leisure, including the famous Sistine Chapel and Raphael’s Rooms. When you are finished exploring, head over to St Peter’s Basilica which you can enter directly from the Museums, thereby skipping the line there as well.
Please note that on Wednesday there is a possibility that during weekly Papal Audience St.Peter’s Basilica could be closed. Some other known dates of closing basilica for visitors are
connected with Easter : April 14, 17, 21 – 23 and May 2 when will be held ceremonies of beatification of Pope John Paul II. On very rare occasions the church may be closed rather unexpectedly, it is beyond our control so no refunds or discounts will be issued.
As an alternative you will be offered an extended itinerary within the Vatican Museums, with the Sistine Chapel and Raphael’s Rooms as commenced during regular days.
