The Best of Venice – Walking tour and Canal Cruise

In : Tours & Trips

The tour combines two ways of visiting Venice into one ultimate experience, to discover most of the enchanted city.
The walking tour through Labyrinth of narrow streets and channels includes the most important buildings in Venice, while the cruise around Gran Canal
allows to see the city from the perspective of merchants sailors and fishermen arriving to the capital of ‘Serenissima’.

The tour departs from the entrance to the Royal Gardens, located along the waterfront on iconic Piazza San Marco at the very heart of the city, and after seeing the square
visitors go inside the Basilica San Marco skipping the waiting line near the entrance.

The the tour meanders through the tiny streets to stop at Campo Santa Maria Formosa with its splendid Gothic Palaces.
There is the time to listen about foundations of the great mercantile empire at the Scuola di San Marco, and probably the most famous Venetian merchant Marco Polo.
The tales end Marco Polo’s House, and tourists move along to praise the Church of San Giovanni e Paolo “the Pantheon of Venice”,and later to enter an old merchant’s warehouse and see the most beautiful well-head in Venice before finishing the tour near the Rialto bridge.

After the short break visitors board their private motor launch for the next part of your tour, which starts around 5:30 pm.
The boat cruise leads along the Gran Canal to finish near the waterfront of Piazza San Marco, where the tour ends.
