Villa Della Porta Bozzolo is a typical Lombardy villa with open galleries, built in the 16th century as a country house, in the following century the Villa was enlarged and transformed into the magnificent residence of representative of Della Porta family .

In the early eighteenth century through the work commisioned by Gian Angelo III, the house has been transformed into a refined residence we can see today, and enhanced by a spectacular park. On this occasion, the painter and engineer Antonio Maria Porana made four large terraces connected by a grand staircase balustrade, decorated spaces with statues and fountains in stone Viggiù designs and the “theater”, a large blanket of grass extended up the hill, known as Belvedere, and bordered by a pond.The Baroque garden is at present one of the villa’s main attractions.
The Villa is from 1989 a property of FAI ( Italian Environmental Foundation ), opened for the visitors, who can see preserved eighteenth and nineteenth centuries interiors of noblemans residence.
Donations and bequests have helped rebuild the ancient noble atmosphere: there are now preserved furniture and paintings from the sixteenth to the nineteenth century and a collection of apothecary jars manufactured in Liguria between 17th and 18th centuries.
