By Car
There are four motorways leading to Genova.
From Milano ( 140 km) there is a road A7 ( Serravalle) with exit Genova Ovest or Genova Bolzanetto.
A26 goes from Voltri-Gravellona, Autostrada dei Fiori A10 follows Riviera di Ponente coast into direction of Sanremo and Ventimiglia ( 159 km )
and has the entrances Genova Aeroporto and Genova Voltri.
From the opposite direction La Spezia ( 96 km ) there is A12 motorway along the Riviera Levante coast to finish with exits Genova Nervi or Genova Est.
By Plane
The airport Cristoforo Colombo is located on artificial penisula near Sestri Ponente, about 9 km from the old city center.
There is Volabus bus connection between the airport and main communication centre Stazione F.S Principe , where are the Amt bus stops, metro and Trentitalia train connections.
The international flights are held via Rome Fiumicino airport, which has several flights a day to Genova.There are also direct flights to Trieste, Naples,Cagliari, Bari and Catania.
By Train
Many of small locations along the coast have the train connection, and there are two train stations in Genova :
Genova Principe with trains from Milan, Turin and local lines in the direction of Riviera Ponente,
and Genova Brignole into direction of Riviera Levante ( La Spezia and later Pisa).
By Ferry or Cruise
Terminal Traghetti ( Ferries )
The ferries from terminal Calata Chiapella depart to Mediterranean Isles, Barcelona in Spain and North African coast.
Terminal Crociere ( Cruises )
For cruises there are prepared three terminals Ponte dei Mille, Ponte Andrea Doria and Ponte Parodi(in construction) with cruise destinations around Mediterranean, to North Europe and America.
