Italy consistently ranks as one of the most appealing destinations for the average US tourist. Most of the market research shows that , being able to experience the Italian lifestyle, even for a short time, is, along with visiting art cities, the driving force of our appeal towards the American market.In the attempt to make our culture and tradition tangible and alive we are going to visit several American cities where the 10 wheeler with expandable sides is going to be the centre of numerous activities focusing on getting the people interested on our message.

 

The vehicle is wrapped with the creative from our national marketing campaign and with our slogan “Italy for life”. The slick and modern design of the interiors is a perfect match to the glossy pictures of Italy and the touch screen monitors where the visitors can easily browse multimedia materials on all the Italian Regions. It goes without saying that a numbers of brochures will be available to the public as well as the assistance of highly trained staff.

“In this digital age” as the Director of the Italian Government Tourist Board North America Riccardo Strano says “where remote access to information and self-discovery is the common currency, we at the Italian Government Tourist Board, feel compelled to, sometimes, go against the current. We want to get close to our visitor; we want the human side of the traveling experience to take center stage and to leave an indelible mark in everyone’s memory.”

We have scheduled events and presentations with travel agents and tour operators in most of the key cities along the route of the tour, in order to better understand the needs and demands of the different local markets.
