Rocca di Lonato and Casa del Podesta
The Castle Lonato, referred by locals as ‘Rocca’ ( Fortress ) is an impressive 14th century defence complex protecting the area around Lake Garda. The fortress for a long time belonged to Milan’s Visconti, the Scaglieri and some Venetian families to later finish in the Austrian hands.
Vittoriale
Il Vittoriale degli Italiani ( shrine to Italian victories ) has been created by a poet, Gabriele d’Annunzio on a hill in Gardone Riviera overlooking Lake Garda.
