Probably better known under it’s French name ‘Mont Blanc’, the highest point in Italy and the highest peak of the Alps is shared between France and Italy. On the French side there is popular resort Chamonix-Mont Blanc and on the Italian side resort Courmayeur.
In the very heart of Aosta Valley lies two hundred years old castle featuring botanical garden and panoramic views of the Alp, a popular tourist destination just several miles from from Gressoney-Saint-Jean.
In the shade of Monte Rosa (4,637 m) the spruce woods cover the hills of the picturesque valley, the site of mysterious Walser, the tribe with centerius of colorful customs and tradition.
