Selva Val Gardena (BZ), 10.02.2012 – It was one bib number available at the next Südtirol Sellaronda HERO, and the third edition of the toughest mountain bike race in Europe is already skyrocketing. The available numbers were given out within three months from the opening of registration for the event, that on June 23 will gather over two thousand bikers along the paths of the Dolomites.

There are precisely 2011 participants enrolled in the competition, and to know the name of the last one, which will be assigned the bib number 2012, you will have to wait for the charity auction, which will begin on eBay on 28 February, and the amount of which will be donated to Assisport Alto Adige, the association for 25 years supported young sport talents in South Tyrol.

The auction site eBay will start at 17.00 on Tuesday, February 28, it will be the initiative of Assisport Alto Adige, which this year celebrates its 25th anniversary. Both Italians and foreigners are provided with the two paths of 82 km (with 4,200 meters of altitude) and the ‘easy’ than 50 kilometers with ‘only’ 2,600 meters, both starting and finishing in the heart of Selva at level of 1,563 meters.
